Lucinda joined Francis Clark’s Corporate Services team in 2003 after graduating from Exeter University with a BA in Business Management. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2007, gaining top marks in the South West for the Advanced Case Study examination.
Lucinda had the opportunity to do a secondment with the Business Recovery team in 2005 and never went back. She sat and passed the Joint Insolvency Examination Board (JIEB) examinations in 2010 and is a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner with the ICAEW. Lucinda became a Partner at Francis Clark in April 2017.
Lucinda’s experience has covered all areas of insolvency but she specialises in Corporate Business Recovery including Administrations and Liquidations across sectors including retail, construction, manufacturing, renewables and charities.
Her particular interest is in Company Voluntary Arrangements (CVAs) and she is skilled at preparing the detailed business plans and projections required to balance the interests of the company and creditors. Lucinda has drafted complex CVA proposals and been successful in negotiating the terms of the proposal with key creditors including HMRC which has resulted in the company being saved.
Lucinda prides herself on being approachable and providing clear, practical solutions to directors and creditors who find themselves in very difficult situations.
In 2011/2012 Lucinda was the youngest ever President of the South Western Society of Chartered Accountants, where she represented over 2,000 Chartered Accountants in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset, she continues to be an active member of the committee.
Lucinda is well known in the local business community and recently founded Exeter’s Professional Working Mums Networking group.
Outside of work Lucinda spends as much time as possible with her husband and young daughter.
In the very little spare time Lucinda has, she enjoys good food and wine and holidays in warmer climates.
